I thought I would share what I did with my students this year for World Down Syndrome Day A huge reason why I am in this field is because of my passion of working with individuals with Down Syndrome. So, I decided to do a lesson on Down Syndrome awareness, while targeting everyone’s goals…
This was a lot harder than I thought!
The moral of the lesson was to treat everyone with respect and that “We are more alike than different.” We compared lists on “same” vs “different” between each other. I even had some of my students connect this idea with the movie, “Wonder.”
Here are the pictures. I hope you guys are having a good week!
