I knew Katherine Johnson when her Spanish was just at college level. Then I watched as she independently left for Guatemala and came back, able to serve as a bilingual speech pathologist.
I knew Katherine when she did really good therapy. Then I watched her contribute a TON of time and leadership to the Curriculum-Based Therapy Project and helped bring two bilingual therapy books into being.
Then I watched as Katherine combined connections with an outreach group back home WITH her Spanish WITH her leadership abilities WITH her curriculum knowledge and led a team of professionals to redesign how this orphanage in Guatemala serves its children.
Katherine Johnson, you do amazing work! I’m so proud to have you on this team!
I want to see the rest of the story. What happened?
The video was posted to Youtube and came across short for some reason. The full version is now up there. Thanks!
This is so inspiring. What a giving, dedicated team. There is no greater gift that you could have given these kids and the staff. Bless you. Beautifully filmed.
