As workload increases for speech-language pathologists, current challenges need to be acknowledged. SLPs across the country are impacted by increased caseloads, lack of opportunity to collaborate with educational and clinical staff, increased paperwork and decreased job satisfaction. This session will empower you to proactively advocate for roles and responsibilities as speech-language pathologists.

Our roles and responsibilities through SLP Impact and Bilinguistics have yielded some personal and meaningful exchanges.  You tell us that you are responsible for 115 students.  You tell us that you support 50+ SLPs as their lead, and you’ve been telling them that everything will be okay.  The truth is that it’s not okay.  You tell us that you have been getting sick due to stress, and the thought of going back to work makes you nauseated.

This course will provide proactive considerations you can do within your day-to-day functioning as a speech-language pathologist.
